| Singer, song-writer, blues-harpist and breast cancer survivor, DJ Gosper, reveals the most treasured and favourite songs from her musical glory box. From the spine-tingling harmonies of renowned vocal trio, The Blues Cowgirls (Juanita Cucinotta, Judi Pearce and DJ) to the cool grooves and hot rhythms of the KarismaKatz 6 piece band (Bob Rodgers, Ernie Van Veen, Leo Joseph, Christo Carlsen, Jon Jones and DJ), this promises to be a very entertaining evening. Not only a retrospective, some songs from DJ’s new CD “Spirit on the Rise” will be showcased with ‘Katz guitarist, Christo Carlsen. Christo’s percussive guitar moves and left-field riffs often leave entranced audiences in awe! DJ and Christo perform with superb synergy and together have been described as “refreshingly original”, “spellbinding” and “a class act”. DJ has recently returned to the stage following surgery and treatment for breast cancer. She is now a full- time musician and “performing with a passion that knows no tomorrow” (Bill Arnett).
